Three Products To Transform Your Skin

Lately my beauty posts have featured makeup looks. However, like most people, I have been wearing a lot less makeup since being in lockdown. With that in mind, I thought I should start posting about skincare. I have always suffered from oily skin – my teenage years were plagued with breakouts and acne which made me incredibly self conscious.

Although my skin has improved over the years, I am still prone to the occasional breakout and oily skin. Over the past few weeks though, I have found three products that have transformed my skin completely.

My first investment was an electric facial cleansing brush. It comes with different brush heads although I only use the silicone head as it’s the most gentle on my skin. From the first use, I was absolutely in love with it! The rotating head gives such a deep clean and left my skin feeling improved straight away.

It’s been many, many years since I was a teenager, but my skin seems to have forgotten that so I have started using face wash for teenagers. My favourite one is Nip & Fab Teen Skin Pore Blaster Wash. Using this face wash with the cleansing brush has helped to clear my skin, is none greasy and my skin doesn’t feel ‘clogged’ with product.

The final product in my armoury is Boots Salicylic Acid. This has been the absolute game changer for me. Salicylic acid is an incredible exfoliator that is a saviour for oily and acne prone skin. It cleanses out and unclogs pores and can also reduce redness – something that I have definitely noticed.

I use salicylic acid after cleansing and before moisturising. With my holy trinity of skincare products, I use them once in the morning and evening and there was a noticeable improvement within days.
